The bombed-out shell of Coventry's old Cathedral, destroyed in a German raid on Nov 14, 1940. Only the tower and spire along with the outer wall survived, and were left unrestored as a moving memorial to forgiveness.

Now THERE's a cathedral I could get into -- a bombed out one! Haven't you now seen enough cathedrals to last you a lifetime? Sounds like the bombing of this place really cut deep with the Britons.
