sticky bun

I would pick off the nuts and dig into this middle part. I love the soft inner swirl!

From Balthazar Bakery. The taste was delicious but the texture of the bun's outer layers seemed a bit too hard for me. The center was the best though, nice and soft. Not sure what happened to the outside parts. The sticky part (not really sticky, more like crunchy caramel) was SO GOOD. Oo yeah.

Thanks! It DOES look gooey, which is funny because it wasn't at all. That's not a bad thing though as my fingers didn't get messy.

I honestly think this bakery is too expensive and a bit over-rated for what it is... I haven't really been too happy with things I've gotten there. ;P

Yeah, It wasn't as good as I thought it'd be. I heard their scones are really good, but I haven't been curious enough to try. I'm pretty happy with low-end baked goods from Chinatown, maybe I should stick with those. ;D
