I must try one, just because I'm curious, despite not being fond of the combination of egg and sausage meat. (I think that would qualify as "culinary touism"...or something.) If scotch eggs remind you of Keith in "The Office", you are awesome. (Cos that's what I think of. AWESOME.)

Egg is the embryo of a bird and the bird... two birds will meet, two chickens will meet and they'll fall in love, and then the male bird, or the cock--nothing funny about that--will sort of like go off and she'll (???), the father will come along, take her babies and boil them in hot water and when they're boiled you smash the shell and the baby that's now dead, and you pop that in some sausage meat and deep fry that to make sure that little baby bird will never come out alive.
