Sausage thing, bigos, 4 pierogies, stuffed cabbage

Mmm, tastums. Pierogies are so freakin' filling. I like em. Bigos was good too...not that I have anything to compare it to since I've never had it before.

you should definitely try some soups, i recommend "zurek"
(sour
rye soup), "krupnik"
(barley soup),  "zupa
ogorkowa" (sour cucumber soup),
and now the best part: desserts
kutia (served
on christmas, but maybe you'll be able to find that somewhere; just image poppy
seeds, nuts, raisins, honey...all
together)

sernik (polish cheesecake, made of curd cheese), faworki
(next thursday is "Fat
thursday", so there's a good occasion, just

look), "ciasto
drożdzowe / drozdzowka" - yeast cake (my fav)

if you ever had chance to shop in polish deli, you !must! buy "Ptasie
mleczko" (by E.Wedel) (=birds
little milk, stupid name, but whatever). they translate that into chocolate
covered marshmallows, but that's not right. It's more airy, lighter, it's like
eating clouds locked in chocolate :)) the best is vanilla flavour! a real
classic!
and maybe - "sliwki w czkoladzie" -
plums in chocolate (i think they're unusual  in us).

that's all i can think of right now)

Whoa, thanks for the list of foodstuffs! I haven't had polish desserts, but would love to try em. I want to go to a polish bakery if i can find one...
