Gnome Alone

Had a cool weekend of Sun and beer, so I'm starting the week with something silly! Hope everyone had good weekend!

Added to the Postcard group - if you've been to Brighton (or any UK seaside resort!), you'll know how appallingly cheesy the postcards are... :oD

Combination of forced perspective to get relative sizes and photoshopping to remove my hand and add shadow. It is not very good quality as heavily cropped - I can only get the requisite DOF at the wide angle end!

Re Amelie: in an attempt to get her father to be more adventurous, and let her live a little too, she kidnaps his precious garden gnome and sends it round the world with a friend who's an air hostess, and gets her to take postcard-type photos of it in far-flung locations.

I thought this was an homage... I don't think the Amelie gnome ever made it to Brighton.
