Vauxhall Bridge - Effra Outlet 2

Vauxhall Bridge - Effra Outlet 2 by Hachimaki.
Just in front of the SIS building is this outlet for the River Effra, which I believe to be buried underneath Vauxhall.

Rivers can be quite interesting sometimes.

The Bourne Stream, Bournemouths namesake flows underneath bournemouth square, through the gardens and then enters a tunnel just before it gets to the seafront. One cannot actually see the stream flow out to sea, it must be piped quite far out!

Lovely. The Effra was once navigable, I remember reading Queen Elizabeth I travelled by barge on it when she visited Sir Walter Raleiqh at his home down in Brixton. I once had a car written off in Effra Road, brixton as well
