Working on more still-life prints. I love this method- it brings together my love for mixed media assemblage and my favouring the 'instant' results of photography. Usually when I make the box assemblages I used to apply this style to I'd spend days getting it exactly right, umming and ahhing over the placement because once they were glued down, it was permanent. Photography in itself (to me) is a recording of transient moments, so the fact that 5 seconds after this shot was taken the arrangement was no more but a recorded memory...I don't know, it just works better to my mind. I am subconsciously obsessed with memory, probably because I have such a deplorable one.
