Santorini

I only spent a few hours on Santorina ( a day trip from Crete), but got so many beautiful images, I've just got to get back. If you ever get the chance... just go!

I think that the technical side of a photograph is basically mechanics. A good meter and a basic understanding of exposure is the easiest part of photography. While this is in it's own right an important attribute, and perhaps the foundation of an image, it isn't about art. Art, or what is art, is subjective. How does one describe what one sees when everyone see it differently? If this were easy, there would only be one love poem, or one love song. As many are the ways of expressing something, many would be the ways of describing it.

I suppose that this is Ia (Oia). I just came back from Santorini yesterday. Although it is a great place I think that I did not manage to make really good pictures, not as great as this one. It has a wonderful lighting and framing. The blue colour (in contrast with pick) is very catchy here.
. I'll see what I get :-) I have some old pics from Naxos 2 years ago. New ones from Naxos and Santorini might follow soon
