Speedlight external battery with DIY battery plugs. I've made short movie how to create it:

No extra post processing (besides raw conversion to jpeg, cropping), taken straight from camera.

Thanks for posting! Do you have any experience yet, how quick this setup recycles in comparison to "normal" AA NiMH cells?

This supply is definitely better than ordinary AA cells (NiCd/NiMH). It charges flash faster (the difference is easily seen while shooting with strobes set to full or half power).
