And so castles made of sand...

...fall into the sea eventually

another shot taken at Lamorna Cove where the small river runs down the valley and onto the beach to sea. Think this was 90second exposure. b&w 10 stop nd and Hi tech grad. Was pretty overcast - probably didnt need the grad in hindsight

Spring Sunlight

Spring Sunlight

Walked on from the stonecircle towards Lamorna Cove. The early spring signs were evident all around. This daffodil caught my attention as it was lit from behind by the warm spring sunlight. Taken on my tameron 28-75mm f2.8, not used this lens for a longtime as its a backup these days but always impressed when I use it.

Merry Maidens

Merry Maidens

So out of winter hibernation I come, our (now seemingly) traditional trip down to mousehole near landsend always seems to kickstart my photography each year.

This stone circle is called the merry maidens. The local myth about the creation of the stones suggests that nineteen maidens were turned into stone as punishment for dancing on a Sunday.

Light & Texture

Light & Texture

It's really been a while since I've posted on here. I do try and keep an eye on what everyone else has been up to and comment when I can though. This time of year I always seem to take a step back from the camera and not shoot much. I've not done much other than a couple of weddings.

That said got a new lens the other day, needed long lens that can handle low light but nice and sharp - ended up getting a canon 135 f2 L second hand off ebay for a snip of a price. I had rented one before but this is definately a sharper copy - very pleased.

Anyway, tested it out but shooting some shots off. This is in my front hall, a gift from my talented friend erica who is one here as illustrate. This was our first dance music. Love the way the subtle light catches the frame and wallpaper textures but mostly love the picture in the frame.
