Great lighting on this one. All three of our campus statues face due north and are always backlit when I go to shoot them. Afternoon in winter is the way to go with this guy.

I work for UT, so I had the advantage of waiting until I could get the right conditions. Something about the winter air at sunset having just the right crispness and the wind not being too strong so the flame could be high.

I really like how this shot turned out.
