V is for Victory

...and it's also for 'vanilla'. Why am I quoting those two particular words beginning with 'V'? Well 'victory' came to me after winning a small competition hosted by @vintagebooks on Twitter. The competition was to submit one's favourite word beginning with 'V', which is easy for me because one of my favourite words, regardless of its first letter, is 'vanilla'. Voila (there's a third 'V' word :o)) @vintagebooks agreed with me and bestowed the title of winner upon lil ole moi. Yay!

So what was my prize for winning? Well you're looking at it (in an upwardly towards the sky kind of way). A beautiful (and wholly appropriate) Vintage edition of Thomas Pynchon's V [ISBN: 978-0-099-53331].

Oh and P.S. for the curious - YES the snapshot *does* show a glorious blue sky, which in Scotland is about as rare as it gets.
