123/365

With immense gratitude to Alex Bambooly, who is at least as repsonsible for this photo as I am.

This is another shot up at Anish Kapoor's C-Curve - the same location as yesterday. You could complain about me using the same location two days running, but no one has complained about the number of shots I've taken in my kitchen.

Anyway, this was a true collaboration. We both regularly go out and shoot local sites in the moonlight, and full moon is in about four hours time. The C-Curve is only here for the duration of Brighton Festival, so we couldn't miss the opportunity. I said I'd like to try some light painting inside the curve for my 365. Alex offers to join in. Alex suggests marking out my silhouette, and the first attempt lit by mobile phone was OK, but we felt we could do better. I had my torch with me, and Alex had some gels, and after a couple of gos, Alex came up with the spiral idea. That then advanced to a wider spiral which started to get the outside of the mirror. And then it all came together.

Will I get a better 365 shot in the remaining 2/3 of the year I've got left?

you are the master of the 365 self portrait! (and i'm only ever so slightly peeved that you and the big bambooly beat me back up there to get the night shot - lol!! )

      Absolute genius!

When I was there yesterday I was thinking about a sunrise and/or sunset shot. How that pales in comparison to this great piece of work from you and Alex!

      Congratulations on your masterpiece!
