I didn't want to look at this at first because the thumbnail looked too "busy". I glad I did look because this is really nice. I'd like to know how it is done!

@Audrey - thanks! sota thinking of calling it "Waiting for Audrey" - that's your glass on the right side of the table.

@Pete A - lol ... thanks!

@Zaphod - thanks mate!

@Ari Hahn - glad you stopped by for a look - the process is simple enough - take heaps of shots of a scene, create a new blank canvas in photoshop and then copy and paste each image onto a new layer ... that's basically it.

@cello - yep - I did take more shots of Sandy as she moved around, taking sips of wine etc, but when I was putting it together, I found that this "static" version was more pleasing to my eye - I think capturing more time requires the subject to be much closer, filling most of the frame - possibly the focal length of the camera may have something to do with it as well - anyway - I know what you mean and that was the original idea, but it came out like this - thanks for stopping by again!

@ISOIT - thanks!

@frankienose - thanks for the complement - much appreciated!

Thanks again guys.

@pM - thanks mate - only about 54 images this time - seriously appreciate your glowing reviews every time. Cool.

@Greg C - thanks dude.

@ziz - no offence intended - the "where's bon?" tag refers to the fact that Bon actually made it into this composition - see if you can find him! - lots of fun for the whole family ... your attendance was missed that evening as you know ...

Nicely done. I like how the table holds the collage together. The negative space created by the wine bottle and the half glass in front of you is excellent! I like the fact too that there is a camera sitting there on the table.

Sensationally good - it just kicks ass on so many different levels. I am with ZB on this one: render a nice high resolution version, find someone who does quality art prints and a prime space on a good wall somewhere. It deserves nothing less.....

Thanks scovo - appreciated - there was no image with the other half of the wine glass (i took about 90 and used 54) - must have had a sip along the way ...

Thanks avidday - thinking of printing ... thanks for the comment.

scooter j - sweet - well, you just mentioned it yourself :-D - it's a fairly simple process - rather than trying to blend the shots into a nice pano, its just like putting prints on the table and moving them around so they fit together ... roughly. Just use layers in photoshop and its easy. Cool. Happy Christmas to you too.

Very difficult to be original in photography and whilst you are not the first (and you would know it) I think you have well and trully placed your own style on this type of image. I have attempted these before and given up. You need a bloody good eye and loads of talent. You have both.

hey, I had missed this one, thanks Flickr blog for digging it up!
I love all your hockney-style shots ever since I saw Oiseaux triste, but this one I think is my favorite, because of the way different parts are in or out of focus, tight aperture or selective DOF, and so on... very well done!

@--andrea-- thanks! Glad you like the rest of them too ... more coming soon ...

@Magamaga ... interesting that you noticed that one ... it's a Soviet Russian knock off of a Leica called Fed3a ... similar design, but clunky construction.

Thanks again everyone.
