Just another friday night: a self-portrait of me and the missus (or, my wife has two heads)

The famous red lamp!
Love the socks and dress look! ;-)
Just another friday night: a self-portrait of me and the missus (or, my wife has two heads) by thescatteredimage.
View On Black

Extreme elation ... this image has been selected as a finalist in the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize and will be exhibited at the State Library of New South Wales.

I am totally over the moon about this.

Some stats:
All shots handheld except for about 8 shots with tripod
256 images taken
200 or so images used
270 or so layers created
1.6GB original image size
1hr 20 min shoot time
16 or so hours in total
Sandy doesn't sit still so I had to work with that.

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments ... seriously appreciated.

Getting this printed at 1.1m on the long side and framed ... can't wait to see it ...

@jldt706 ... take heaps of shots of a scene and layer them one on top of each other in Photoshop ... takes some time ... easy enough to do, but requires a fair amount of planning before and during shooting.

It's great! I like it because it seems to show conflict of emotions. The wife wants to engage her husband at the other end of the couch, but still she looks away maybe because she has given up.

Maybe that was not what you were going for, but that's how I read it.

Well done and very cool!
