I also read that the Hawa Mahal has been built at such an angle that the royal women could look down on the streets without being spotted by anyone from down below. amazing engineering for those days?!

Farl, I imagine in those days royal women saw the processions and festivals in town - they could not be seen by commoners because they usually kept the veil...
