This was a "busy" morning scene in Jodhpur... everyone was loitering around like they did not have a care in the world!

It looks as if, once you go through the arches, the world gets really busy.

IanL, thanks... I personally like that guy on the bicycle - he saw me with the camera and simply stopped to pose :)

algo, true... life is full of unexpected contrasts here!

dive monkey, yeah, the other side of this gate leads to the bustling and colorful market. and some yummy street food stalls...

inklake, thanks!

plus: ___ Great contrast and arch is placed of centre
minus: ___ Apart from Church there's nothing really to hold my attention through thr frame made by the arch

plus: Nice idea - I like pictures that are framed by a "hole" they are taken through.
minus: Would have liked the arch to be in centre and the tower in B'ground to be fully visible. But that's just me...

Perfect candidate for shadows/highlights adjustment in photoshop. The bigger your image, the more detail can be revealed ;-)

This is an absolutely wonderful image. Very nice capture.

I took it into photoshop and adjusted it (alot).

I think you'll like the results:

I gave you full props. I just thought it was a great candidate for photoshop adjustment. Hope you like it.

Cheers,

b>plus: nice framing and you can tell there is an interesting subject in there
minus: Too dark to see. The above adjustments bring out all that great detail that you saw but could not get your camera to see.

now what do I say about this- only what I have already told 3rd foundation - he has created magic out of this pic - his photoshopped image is superb! and I have been feleing depressed ever since I saw that :))

Dublin Sonja, thank you! this compostition was intentional - i dont really like the perfectly centred kind f pictures... although I do that some times....

Mance, I was not really focussing on any object but trying to capture the entirely relaxed pace of life there....

yvonne11, yup, too dark.. my camera just could not take in more light....

i think the treated photo is more relevant, with more details and compensated shadows...but also the original is good !

I also liked the original image with the bright light coming through the archway and the silhouettes of the dog and cyclist. The photoshopped image is very different - but I like it too.
