Ok, the backpack is slipping off him here, mostly due to being unevenly loaded (bottle of water in one side is much heavier than the plastic bags in the other side). Also, this size backpack is a tad too large for him -- should have gotten the medium.

Hiking in the El Cerrito Natural Area - first time with food & water in the backpack. Threw his balance off a few times when trying to pee on things, but no real problems. Unexpected bonus: I can strap his (used) poop bag to the top using the built-in bungee and make him carry it!
