One of the real highlights of visiting the Galapagos is the amazing marine life. Most days you have the opportunity to snorkel for a couple of hours, and it's common to find yourself swimming with sea turtles, sea lions, penguins, sharks, rays, moray eels, and all kinds of fish.
Before my trip I struggled to figure out the best option for underwater photos, and I ended up buying a waterproof Olympus 770SW. It's just a point-and-shoot camera and I wasn't expecting spectacular photos, but even so I was mostly disappointed with the results - almost all of my shots are murky and washed out.
But I like this one, and it's great just to have a reminder of the experience.
