RALEIGH NC: NC FARMERS MARKET:

OK, so the story goes like this. We were at the Farmers' Market when I was attacked viciously by an unrelenting barrage of lunch time hunger pangs.

"Want some lunch?" I asked.

"OK, I can get something," my wife answered.

You can see what she ordered [on the other side of the salt shaker] and you can see what I ordered -- the large Calabash platter.

"This is what I'm talkin' about," I thought.

I never had any illusions that I was going to finish this monster, but truth is I hardly put a dent in it. Ya know, how much fine dining can a man handle in his life?
