The World of Color Show lights up Paradise Bay with light, color and water like nothing you've ever seen.
This shot was inspired by Gregg Coopers amazing shot from a few weeks
I just wanted to go a step further by capturing the World of Color show as well. I had to sit in that location at the Cove Bar for 4 hours to make sure I had the exact chair that I wanted for the show. I took a few hundred photos in the hour before and during the show. I kept the camera on the tripod, without moving it and waited for the wheel to look the way I wanted and chose the focus point for the wheel to take that picture. Then I moved the focus point to the swings and hotel to take several exposures of it. Then I moved the focus point to the Zephyr and took several shots of it spinning and sitting still. After that I waited for the show to begin to photograph it. Then came the merging of all those photographs in Photoshop Elements. The nice thing about all the layers I created is that I can easily switch out pictures of the fun wheel and the show to make completely different looking shots. I'll be posting more of them on what I will call "World of Color Wednesdays".
