Enjoying a day on the water with paddleboarding and yoga. The Standing
Bow pose is a great advanced level pose when combining yoga and SUP
because you center of gravity is much lower in this pose then when
standing. This pose utilizes your core and your balance muscles which
are very important to yoga and Stand Up Paddleboarding.
The board being used is a Stride Airlite HD Stand Up Paddleboard. The Airlite is one of the best SUP for Yoga on the water for a number of reasons.
1) The board is light weight and inflatable to a high pressure. This makes for a board that is rigid in over all structure.
2) The board comes with a 80 inch traction pad that is very similar to a yoga mat in nature. This gives you traction when standing and paddling but also when performing yoga positions.
3) A very important and unique aspect of this board is that it is thicker then traditional Stand Up Paddleboards. This keeps you out of the water when performing yoga poses.
