Mueller site plan, phase 1

Park and pool included in phase 1
Garden court houses
Long block facing park is to be custom homes, falling outside the regular pricing scheme -- I imagine these puppies will be in the $1M range
Cheapest and most expensive houses in phase 1 share an alley :-)
Mueller site plan, phase 1 by riddle.
Catellus's map showing builders and lots for phases 1A and 1B. Together they constitute the first sales phase of 340 houses, although 1A will be completed a few months before 1B.

Note that the "affordable" (70-ft lot) and "market rate" (90-ft lot) row houses are segregated but Weekley's affordable and market rate houses will be mixed.

The park on the right is to be completed during phase 1 and will include an olymic lap pool.

This will be more legible if you view it in all sizes.

Update: The official version of this is now online at MuellerAustin.com. I blogged about this in more detail here

I'd love to know who made these individual design decisions. My guess is that it was either someone at Roma Design Group, which developed the master plan, or possibly someone at Catellus, the company carrying it out and marketing it. Although since these will be city streets, there's probably some official board that had the final say.

As for Lawless Street, that's a great name, isn't it? I believe the streets are all named after prominent Austinites, not only the usual politicians and capitalists but people in music and the arts (Zach Scott, Clifford Antone, Doug Sahm). I'm sure I should know which Lawless they're referring to but I don't.

The more I think about it, the more I wish they'd mixed up the yard houses from the different builders. Even though they're each going to have a couple of floor plans and several facades, it's going to have tract-home-itis.
