Simple Yet Too Complicated

Simple Yet Too Complicated

Grantville, Victoria - Australia

A rare post just to say "G'day" to my contacts. Hope you are all well and enjoying life to the fullest.

2 years on Flickr now! No big deal or celebration cause I lost the Flickr spark. But I must admit that I have learnt heaps within that time and I have enjoyed being part of a group of lovely people who are always willing to help and share their knowledge. Thank you very much everyone.

This was made last Sunday at Grantville. The weather wasn't good but this is what I wanted. I've had this image in my mind for a while. Used Hoya ND8, f/16, 15s, Tokina 16mm.

Note: The uploaded image looks so different on 3 different monitors that I've checked. I'm not sure what happened to this batch but they all look very dark with a blue tinge. Color profile is all over the place with Adobe RGB, sRGB and monitor ICC profile. I have managed to really confuse myself this time. Any suggestions very welcomed.

Have a nice one beautiful people :)

Fishing Day With The Bros

Fishing Day With The Bros

Gunamatta, Victoria Australia.

Been a while since the last upload. Can't seen to find or justify time for Flickr these days. But why? I honestly think that the novelty has worn off. Also, I am not comfortable just posting without commenting on others work. I'm still having a peak at my contacts photos from time to time.

This was taken back in March during a fishing trip with my 3 brothers. Yep, 4 boys...the 4 Musketeers. Poor mum! 3 of us like fishing and 1 doesn't. 2 like taking photos and 2 don't. So the deal was to start fishing early in the morning then wait for sunset - to please everyone. Was a beautiful sunny day and we had lots of fun. No need to say that I whipped their @ss by catching more than them :) One of the brothers (yes Jean-Michel you know who I am talking about) even hijacked my rig - cheeky.

Been going out a couple of times since, for photo shoots with my other brother Jean-Pierre who just started getting involved in digital art.

I will try to visit and comment on your work as much as possible. Have a nice week everyone :)

Mar Del Plata

Mar Del Plata

Gippsland, Victoria - Australia.

"Mar Del Plata" in Spanish means "Silver Sea" and note that this was not photographed in Argentina but Australia. Also, "Rico" means Rich, Wealthy, Costly, Expansive, Expensive, Delicious, Tempting, Lovely, Affluent. LOL!!!

I have been listening to your feedback and it is very clear that I cannot please everyone. Some are Purists, others Artists and many just don't care. Whether you think this is Yuk, looks like a vomit, not bad or just simply beautiful...Let me know why in your comments instead of the sometimes "beautiful capture" or "Nice shot"...You know what I mean, but I bet you a couple of "Shrimps on the Barbie" that some will not even read this :)

I've tried to keep this one as clean as possible. Natural exposure, kept the colours fairly tonned down and I think that it is pleasing on the eyes and it dislays a certain calmness, close to muted!

Have a nice week-end everyone and don't forget to share the love :)

P.S. Looks like Flickr apply their own shapening resulting in the branches being over sharpened. Something that is not present in the original image :(
