pink katydid![]() at Rondeau Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada,

lost n topc says:It has taken me 4 weeks to find out that what
I have been calling a pink grasshopper is
really a pink katydid. We live in Lousiana
on 40 acreas surrounded by piney woods. My
son found what we called a pink grasshopper
on one of our food plots we plant for the
deer. The food plot has red rover, so we
thought the plant had something to do with
the reason the grasshopper was pink. I even
emailed a scientist to see if they had ever
seen a pink grasshopper. While emailing it
to this scientist, I emailed it to all my
email contacts. 4 weeks later, after my
contacts sent the pictures to their contacts,
and so on and so on, someone from Texas wrote
back to tell me it was a pink katydid, which
is how I found your site. Luís Louro
