Singing the sun to bed..

This house wren is a fine fellow who lives under our eves and greets and ends the day with his song.
Actually he never shuts up, sings all day long and gets on my nerves.
On second thought he's just a noisy little nuisance who won't shut up. Who does he think he is anyway?!

At least you got a shot of your nuisance. I have the same reaction to a cardinal in my neighbourhood. He sings so loudly I can hear him all up and down the block but I can NEVER find him to take a picture. So the song grates on my nerves. I call him a Mockingcardinal. :-)

An American Idol of course.....which is a big talent show on TV and making new singing stars. Was out visiting the country and in the area where we once lived. Oh...the wonderful songbirds which do not happen in town here. I would love this wren to come sing here and blend in with the bulldogs howling . Stunning photo and great caption! Yes...Heff has good taste for novels, food....you name it.

we are fortunate to live where we do. Our regular singers/callers included:
chuck-wills-widow, whipporwill, phoebe, peewee, cardinal, bludjay, barn swalloes (nest uner the eaves) black throated blue warbler, woodcock and eastern kingbird.
Then there's the coyotes...

I live in paradise.
