ground pistachios, I didn't have pine nuts!

with alaskan smoked salmon. with summer in full swing, i had plenty of basil in the yard begging to be used. hence, the inspiration for this dish.

I'm troubled: if you saved these photos for high level stock/food agencies or magazines we'd all miss out on them but, on the other hand, publishing these amazing work here will keep you away from your dream. I mean: is it possible to have published personal works on paper even if you have previously given them out on the web?

I think :) besides, most high-level stock agencies require quite a lot of resolution for your work to be accepted (35mm slide film at the least, medium to large format is preferred.. or digital files from high end digital backs.) I consider these works as 'practice' anyways :-)

boychoyboy, nah, it's smoked salmon from a can, although really good stuff I bought when I was in Alaska.. not your fabulous home-smoked Copper River salmon :-)
