um.. parsley! yay! =)

handmade egg pasta with a bolognese sauce. i think i finally have this pasta dough thing figured out. once you have a feel for the right consistency, the dough is amazingly simple to make. both pasta and bolognese were inspired by my talented chef friend, bryant ng, who graciously showed us how to whip up a multi-course italian feast.

Rick, let me assure you, as someone who actually is from Bologna: any bolognese grandmother would be proud to have made this herself. Minus the parsley, if one wanted to be nitpicky about things: people from Bologna keep the presence of anything green and healthy to a bare minimum... ;)

I love to make fresh pasta! and this looks just delicious! have you ever tried "pappardelle con pomodoro e ceci"(ceci=chick-peas)? it's my favourite recipe for pappardelle, I think it's particulary popular in Tuscany area.

I tried to look up for it in the net, but I couldn't find much. Anyway I think it's simple, just cook the chick-peas (not too long, they should remain whole) and add them to a simple tomatoe sauce (or even just crushed tomatoes cooked for a while in a pan). Maybe also add some parmesan if you like. Hope it works!
