January 2009 - Ox-picious

The end of the month marked the beginning of a New Year, Chinese style. I travelled with my younger brother, an Ox himself, to experience the celebrations taking place in Singapore. We enjoyed a reunion dinner with family, several rounds of Lo Hei Yu Sheng to raise good luck, watched lion dances, as well as receiving a few Lai See on the way. Less customary were a trip to Sentosa, a ride on the Flyer and the unavoidable shopping.
