"I Am..." A Baker

"I Am..." A Baker

Sunrise, 7am and 4th generation artisan baker Steven Oxford has already been working through the night to prepare Oxford's traditional English breads.

I wanted to ask Steven to star in the "I Am..." Series as I grew up in the local area, eating their freshly baked goods and because I feel they have a great story worth sharing having recently celebrated their 100th birthday.

Head on over to the blog for the full story and series of photographs.

Rock Star

Rock Star

You'll never guess who just bought a smoke machine for some upcoming shoots...

I'm down in Dorset this weekend, ready to shoot the first of many weddings in 2012. Being at the family home gives me a great chance to collaborate with James (my brother) and produce some humorous shots. Pretty much straight out of camera, rock on.

Strobist: Canon 580EXII with CT Red Gel Left and Right of Subject, 430EX with 1/2 CTO Behind Subject. Triggered via PocketWizards

Excited to launch the start of my new project called the "I Am..." series. Focusing on different career paths and the individuals behind them, I'm setting out to capture themed and theatrical environmental portraits.

The above photograph features Martin, Studio Manager of the Cream Room Recording Studios in Hertfordshire. If you'd like to find out more about Martin and his Studio theres a behind the scenes blog post here with plenty of information: "I Am..." A Studio Manager

Location Scouting

Location Scouting

Set out in the S2000 today to scout some new locations in Hertfordshire for automotive shoots. Whilst the trip was relatively unsuccessful for what I had in mind, this tunnel had trees looked great in the afternoon sun.

With cars passing either way I only had time to quickly jump out and snap a single frame on a 70-200 lens at F2.8. Would of been far easier if I had someone else in the car!
