This is my favorite picture from the lot because there are so many things to see in it... There are the reasons you stated above, plus the road separating the man made structures from the natural beach, and the bridge connecting both. There are people by the pool and playing volleyball... and I thought that the shadow of the kite in the pool was a nice touch, too. ;-)

Great shot! The first thing I noticed were the trees seeming to radiate from the pool (or perhaps from the kite shadow). When I look again it may just be an illusion from the shadows - anyway, wonderful shot with great color.
