Give me five rupees only !!!

Me and my friend was sitting at a place after clicking some photos. Then suddenly this little boy came up to us and asked in Bengali "Pach taka deo" i.e. "Give me 5rs". We were surprised at this type begging, mentioning us directly the amount he wanted from us. Then my friend tried to convince him by telling him that he can't give him 5rs, but can click him and help making a print out of the photo at the newspaper the next day. But he was not happy with his answer and kept on asking again and again "Pach taka deo". And I clicked him during their conversation.

Tried with this type of close cropping for the first time.

Right, to your photo. It's a terrific portrait and you've captured the moment and the mood perfectly. His eyes are really showing what he thinks of the whole situation and the fact that you won't give him the exact 5 rupees he's after. Not a major fan of your black frame but all up, wonderful.

Wow we take so much for granted. Then you come across a picture like this. I like how crisp this picture is. The cropping is very well done, and the fact that the boy isn't looking at the camera somehow makes me wonder what is he shy of. I guess a picture is worth a 1000 words in this case.

What could make the picture stronger
For my taste you've overdone the postprocessing, especially the skin. It looks unnatural and in my opinion doesn't make the picture stronger. Also the background is complete washed out (during postprocessing?). Although it keeps you focused on the child it does not give you any context, without the description the boy could live next door.

Summary
Original portrait, not a fan of the postprocessing used.

Ria, I think this is superb. I do not agree with the comment about the background, in fact I would go further and clone out the red spot, as someone else has suggested. His expression tells me he's not the boy next door so I don't agree with that remark either. For me, as others have said, the crop is superb. I think you have succeeded here with the sharpened texture and I don't need to tell you to go steady with it as you obviously already know how to use it wisely. :o)
I wish you'd given him some money though, even if just as a payment for being your model.

wow, this is excellent. So how did the story end? Did you end up giving him 5rs? Do you think some people exploiting these children to collect money from specific target? They are probably coming up with original idea. For example, by asking 5rs directly, he sort of put you two in a puzzle state and you end up probably giving him the money? who knows. At any rate, I am glad you clicked.
