United Nations General Assembly

This is the podium for the Secretary-General, General Assembly President and the Under-Secretary-General. Apparently if you know someone from one of the UN delegations you can actually go near the podium and sit on it.

Networking does come in handy.

I can confirm that. A friend of mine works there and with my guest pass, we were both able to go up to the podium and sit in the seats- when the place wasn't in session of course!

it would be really hilarious if someone walked up to Ban Ki-moon, tapped him, and asked him to move!
