Bogey Hole Pool Sunset || NEWCASTLE ||

The Bogey Hole is a popular swimming spot in Newcastle, located beneath a headland and providing a spectacular vantage point to view the ocean.

A surviving example of construction from the days of the earliest European settlement in Newcastle, the Bogey Hole is a convict-built baths hewn out of a rock face for the personal use of Major James Morisset, a notable military figure from the early period of European settlement in Australia.

Built in 1819, this place is the first recorded European purpose-built ocean pool on the NSW coast

The Coastal Storm || B&W || NEWCASTLE

This is a scene I have always been trying to photograph, but have never had any luck... So I have merged a shot I took on my last trip to Newcastle, with a shot I captured of the lightning on the weekend to create the scene I really wanna be able to capture one day soon.

Warm Winter Trail || CENTRAL TABLELANDS

Article from Sydney Morning Herald - 3rd August 2010

========================================
Cold snap brings a flurry of fun ... and high drama
========================================

TEMPERATURES plummeted in NSW's central west yesterday and snow fell in some of the higher areas, including Yetholme, Mount Lambie and Edith, near Oberon, pictured above.

As of late yesterday, all main roads were open, although police warned motorists to drive with extreme caution as ice may be encountered in some areas.

Police were searching last night for two cross-country skiers missing in the Blue Lake area of Kosciuszko National Park. The men, believed to be in their 40s, contacted police about 4pm yesterday to say they were lost in a blizzard.

Rescuers from NSW Ambulance, NSW Fire Brigades and State Emergency Services travelling on foot were not expected to reach the men, who had supplies but no shelter, until the early hours of the morning.

4 shot photomerge panorama, merged in Photoshop CS3

This shot was taken on a recent drive with Edwin through the reaches of the Upper Hunter Region... This is just outside of Merriwa...

Merriwa is a unique and friendly town nestled in the Upper Hunter Valley. You will enjoy the traditional, welcoming, friendly atmosphere of a country town, whilst being astonished by the pride and progressiveness of the community. Situated on the golden highway, it is an ideal place for a stopover.
