Sumatran rhino at the Cincinnati Zoo

Sumatran rhino at the Cincinnati Zoo by International Rhino Foundation.
The Sumatran rhino, also called the “hairy rhino” because of its hairy body and tufted ears, is the most endangered of all rhinoceros species because of its rapid rate of decline. Because of poaching, numbers have decreased more than 50% over the last 15 years.
