Diner Tricks

Growing up, I spent most of my free time at the diner with my gal pals. We learned tons of little diner tricks like popping a straw, foaming your coffee with the little half and halfs and of course this one, the ol' balance a salt shaker on it's side. Notice how the pepper shaker looks on in envy...or maybe it's disgust.

I tried doing it recently but I think either the salt shaker was too round or the salt crystals had been deviously filed down by the kitchen and bar staff. Or I might have had one too many glasses of wine. Either way, my boyfriend couldn't figure out why I kept dumping salt out all over the place. ^_^
