Sam the Record Man

    The flagship store of the defunct Sam the Record Man chain is automatically recognizable to Torontonians with its twin records against red. Sam's once had an outpost even in my native Charlottetown, but now the chain is gone with even the icon record signs removed. Nearby Ryerson University has purchased the property, and promises to treat it with respect for its historic significance to Toronto.
