Vertical Glory![]() ![]() Mosque in Muscat, Oman.
People of Oman are mainly Muslim. The doors of the mosques are normally open and people contentiously come to the mosques for prayer. I have not brought my heavy tripod to Oman with me. So I bought a cheap one for 13 rials (which is about $30) and although it is a full plastic tripod, but it does the job perfectly. I have even started to kind of like it because it has long legs (like myself) and is very light (unlike myself!). Taking photo with big camera and long leg tripod inside the public mosque seemed a little bit risky. I did not want to offend prayers or interrupt their holy activities. I also tolerated some peculiar looking, but they were more of curiosity rather than anger. I had my 24-70mm lens with me which I like the most (mainly because it is my only lens at the moment!). Multiply the cropping factor of 1.6 and I get only 38mm wide lens maximum. Man!!!! I needed much more than that in this scene. CommentsSunday Bloody Sunday! says:cool shot, i've always wanted to do that.
Behrooz Nobakht says:You are not that satisfied with your lens on
the picture and we are just taking it in. Wonderful.
