Revolution of Darkness were born in Rome in early summer 2006, when Crow (Francesco) introduced Jungle (Antonello), a keyboard player who studied for several years classical piano, to Maskara, the founder of the band. At the beginning they sounded like a Crossover/Nu-metal band, but it wasnt what they were looking for. Slowly the project became something more original and ambitious. Revolution of Darkness are characterized by the use of musette de cour and violin arranged with electronic and complex bases, pained screams and one-sentenced lyrics. The true target of the band is the search of peculiar, casual, obsessive sounds, but also the studied merger of dark ambient elements with purely alternative rock elements. In their lyrics it is told about mad visions, unreal landscapes and deep emotions in order to describe their point of view of the world. The band played live for the first time at Classico Village (Rome) in June 2007, then in Autumn at the Foxhole Pub (Rome) and in February 2008 at Jailbreak Live Club (Rome) too. In September 2008 they played at “Frammenti Festival” (Frascati) just before Ascanio Celestini’s show. Revolution of Darkness have recorded at home a double demo called “The Revenge of the Scarlet Clouds” (Part 1 & Part 2) with 13 songs at all. In Winter 2008 they took contact with Alkemist Fanatix Europe Agency beginning a partnership and an year after ( 2009) Revolution of Darkness signed with Copro Records for the realese of a full-length album recorded at Morphing Studio in Bologna and produced by Cristiano Santini. The name of their first album is “Revolution of Darkness”.
