I remember when I thought oh sure! this pregnancy is going smoothly, piece of cake! Well… big mistake! Everything has changed in a couple of weeks: All my clothes no longer fit, no energy to exercise, I’m gaining pounds like crazy and worse of all, my so called get-all-the-baby-things-done-this-long-holiday-carnival weekend was nothing but me staying in bed with fever, all my body aching and a bad mood.

After 3 days of laying on a couch feeling useless while darling assembled all the baby furniture with no help at all (I could not even hand him over a screwdriver), fever went away to leave me all bloated and gassy…. not pretty folks. I keep gaining weight and thinking how hard it’s going to be to get rid of the baby weight and still, what is worse, I cannot get out of my system an insane craving of eating potatoes with ketchup. I tell myself, you are way overweight, you are not exactly a glowing expecting mother and you still want to eat potatoes with ketchup… really… POTATOES!?

I feel a constant frowning on what it used to be my cheerful face.

My darling deserves a place in heaven.

Friday night. Home at last. Being an Ad Woman is not as fancy as those times portrayed in the series Mad Men. Every day business gets harder and harder and working in the account department is really not as glamorous as working as a creative (I envy them not so secretly). Don’t get me wrong, I like my job and when you have a good day, it tastes sweeter than honey. And usually good days can be resumed when 1) I’m able to cross many pendings off my to do list 2) listening to a client approve an awesome idea and 3) Shooting an Ad. I just love being on set and witnessing how a bare idea can become real.
