2007-08-18![]() "Form in Flux"
The illustration may be a little too kafkaesque compared to the message I was trying to convey in this entry. It's fascinating how an insect's life is divided in stages that are so distinct to each other, that radical physical changes actually occur. For a human being, it's a little puzzling... we may be adults in form, but really, how many of us consider ourselves "mature"? It's funny also, how in the past, old age is considered something to be proud of, as a symbol of wisdom. However, nowadays, it seems everybody wants to stay young. I also pose a question whether our growth happens naturally or sometimes forced by factors imposed personally or externally. In a world where the "destination" seems most important (or even the only thing important), we forget that the real joy comes from the "process" of growth. Commentskristina images
