Trip to Skagit Valley, 4/2/2006 |
Mel and I headed up to the Skagit Valley
in Washington to see the Tulip Festival
at the suggestion of one of her
colleagues. Most of the pictures were
taken at the Roozengaarde, which is sort
of a large exhibition garden for the
local tulips and daffodils.
The wild turkeys in the last few photos
are part of a family that has
inexplicably moved into the town of La
Conner, where they wander the streets at
will. La Conner is apparently also the
home of author Tom Robbins, although we
were sadly unaware of this at the time
of our visit.
