I've been feeling the setbacks of my D40 since I've started my
Strobist training. The biggest frustration is only having 3 AF points.
This can make a chosen composition difficult and often times I'll have
to change composition (sometimes more than slightly) to get proper
focus and then sometimes focus is slightly off... At one point I found
myself testing my lenses for front/back focusing issues but thankfully
there arent any. I suppose I could get focus, use the AF/AE lock and
fix composition but I'm paranoid about accidently moving the camera
too forward or backward which would change the focus distance which
would make the distance I obtained focus on out of focus.. I'm dying
for a D90 for that reason as long as other feature related reasons..
