Wild Roses
I found these roses growing in the woods along side Cold Springs Loop in Anacoco, La. I assume they were once in someone's yard...there are also light pink ones (almost white) growing along the same road (a bit further down the road but on the other side).

1 Foot Tree Shroom
This mushroom was growing on the side of a big oak tree in Rosepine, La. I was visiting my older sister when we heard the tree snap during a windstorm. We walked across the road to see that the top of the tree had broken off and fallen across the top of the storage shed. Unfortunately, the shed didn't make it. The mushroom was a foot wide or better and was at least an inch and a quarter thick with bold stripes.
