Lovely Currumbin Koala

New Years was pretty laid back for this furry fellow at Currimbin wildlife sanctuary. He ate, napped, scratched a bit, napped some more, ate some more, wiggled his ear, scratched a bit more, and fell asleep.

i actually used Lightroom, PS, and Aperture to process this shot. A hodge-podge indeed.

You seem to have captured the essence of the lifestyle of a koala. Now it just remains to correct the common misconception that koalas are cute and cuddly. They are not. They are grumpy little buggers who hiss and scratch if you go anywhere near them and look stupid when they try to run along the ground.

I don't know what they taste like, but unlike all those delicious kangaroos, they are not doing so well and their population is dwindling, so I would not recommend eating them.
