Drawing-A-Day: April 11th
Drawing of a dead fly, part of an entry I'm creating for a show in Detroit. The scan is a little dark and doesn't convey the warmth of the grey very well.
And, happy coincidence! Illustration Friday's theme this week is "FAIL"! I think this fits that, don't you? ;p

It is a beautiful drawing. I never thought a fly could be beautiful but you've created one.

Great fly. Great job. It made me smile .. which is really, really terrible I'm sure.

I've never seen as much beauty in a dead fly as I have today. Although, no lie, the other night we opened the window to our room as it was the first warm night, and we got the first fly of the season fly in our house. This was sad, because I was very tired and flies are ten times more noisy when your falling asleep.
So just as I started to complain, it immediately went to the first light source it could find, which was my wife's yankee candle that was lit.
Its now a wax fossil.
I slept great! :D

It's not often I can see the beauty in death...
