Thoroughbred Retirement Farm, Blackburn Correctional Complex, Lexington, KY

Every Friday for the past several years I have driven by this photo. Just west of the I-64/I-75 split, on my way back to Frankfort, I'd usually be passing through here about twilight, and I'd look up at that lone tree on the hill silhouetted against the night sky. It'd almost always have a horse or two standing nearby just at the top of the hill, and I'd think to myself, "One day, I'm going to have my camera with me, and I'm going to shoot that photo."

That day was today.

Fantastic image. I used to drive from Cincinnati to Lexington every morning and there were a couple of horse farms on the way that I always wanted to photograph, and I believe this is one of them. I love it.
