A view of the Castle

The castle of Montgrí is a military fortification built between 1294 and 1304 by King Jaime II, on the summit of the Montgrí Massif, a small calcareous mountain, at an altitude of 315 meters above sea level and located 6 km from the sea. The summit offers us impressive views of the entire Ampurdán, and reaches the Canigó.
