we're so dependent on technology these days

My school hosts a swap meet every Saturday in the parking lot, and various sports and clubs get one chance to work for the entire day to earn money. This was my second time working with ASB, and it was quite an interesting experience. Although I mostly spent my 12 hours collecting parking fees in front of the entrance, I did get to roam around the aisles for a while.

These swap meet vendors are generally Mexicans. They are extremely hardworking, arriving to set up their makeshift shops before the sun even rises. It is quite a sight when the sun starts to shine and the parking lot is already bustling with action.

Many bargains can be found at the swap meets. Several customers come here on a regular basis to buy toilet paper, deodorant, fruit, gum, shoes, hats, tools, and even pet birds and rabbits. The most significant reason for these swap meets, however, is that they bring the community together.

I used my iPod touch to create this picture. It's a convenient tool because I can easily control the light by clicking the sleep button on and off. There were many failed attempts, but I'm happy with this one!

I've known this boy ever since he was born, and I'm so amazed by how quickly he's growing. In this picture, Noah is holding onto his mom and dad's hands.

I remember doing the same thing as a child, before my younger brother was born when I was four. Now I'm sixteen and my younger brother is taller than me.

2010 was filled with so many memories, and I'm glad that I was able to capture every special moment with my camera. Here's to a fantastic 2011!
