and in answer to the photoshop question above, that was only used to sharpen the image a little. My ps knowledge is too limited anyway for me to be able to convincingly fake an image like this. I dont even know how to make cutouts:p

saddly even though you say it is not "faked", it has the look of being "faked". It may be that because it has become so easy for the average person to do composite shots outside of a darkroom and camera that these kinds of things are not that exciting for me. So even though you did a great job, it's just not that exciting.

Doesn't even look remotely faked to me. The noise level in the shade of the apple is very much like the noise in the background. Lighting seems the same. The edge of the apple is perfect. Sure seems real.

I like this shot. Personally I don't care if something can be done in PS or not. It's pretty clear that this wasn't so I can begin by appreciating the effort that was put into this.

As to the image, it is getting harder and harder to judge your work personally. You have by far the most consistently great self portraits out there. The downside is that by producing such a high output in such a short time it gets hard to differentiate among them - they are all really great. This is meant as a compliment.

As to this picture, I like the juxtaposition. The lighting is great and the expression on your face seems to be one of intrigue and anger - perfect. I'm not one to put a lot of stock into titles but this one is perfect. Well done.

I like the concept and I like the technical skill but it doesn't have the whole package. From looking at your other work it seems as though making this image was probably pretty easy for you and I am sure this isn't your best work. I love the look on your face and I like the idea of the apple and Eve, but the image doesn't take me there without the help of the title.
